Can I ask for help with water in several rooms?
Yes. Describe every affected room, including connected hallways and closets. The contractor needs the extent of the problem to discuss a suitable assessment and extraction approach.
Should I walk into a flooded room to take photos?
Do not enter water where electrical equipment or other hazards may be present. Stay in a safe location and describe what you can see. Ask the appropriate emergency service or utility for urgent hazards.
Can the contractor promise a completion time on the phone?
A useful time estimate depends on access, water volume and material conditions. Ask about availability first and request a realistic scope and timing after assessment.
Does removing visible water mean everything is dry?
No. Moisture can remain in flooring, padding and adjoining materials. Ask what moisture checks are proposed and whether follow-up drying is included in your agreement.
